Wholemeal Bread Pudding with Nectarines

This is an easy way to turn some excess wholemeal bread (or bagels) into a delicious summer pudding with any type of fruits on top: nectarines, apricots, apples, kiwis, peaches etc. Rye bread can be also used in this recipe.

Stromboli

Stromboli is a sort of pizza roll, an easy-cutting bread that creates ready-made sandwiches. Traditional Italian "00" flour makes a lovely smooth dough. Just remember to read the label and check that is for bread making and contains at least 11 g protein per 100 g flour.

This recipe is taken from The Women's Institute "Big Book of Baking" and slightly changed by me.

German Potato Bread dough (for bread, sandwich rolls, pies etc.)

German potato bread (Kartoffelbrot) is a deliciously moist, soft bread. It really is multipurpose and can be used for sandwiches or fried. It has fantastic texture, that makes it taste great both as a bread or a savory pie base.

I took this recipe from The Hairy Biker's Big Book of Baking.
